Love Never Fails

   

A day on which wedding bells were to ring, instead of laughter and joy we are troubled with pain

If I could turn back time, I would in an instant; I’d visit you in heaven, if only it not so distant

So many life lessons I’ve learned since that day, the biggest one being, always remember to pray

Life is to be treasured and it is to be cherished, even though you are not here does not mean our love for you has perished

You are now a beautiful angel in the sky, rather than the stunning girl here by our sides

God knew when He took you he had much to gain, sadly for us, memories are all that remain

It’s so hard to accept that you are not here anymore, I still ask God every day what he did that for

We were not related by blood, or by marriage, but there is a different type of family. A family is based on love and compassion. It’s a place to belong and a group of people who would go to the ends of the earth for those they love. You are apart of that sort of family.

I have never met a girl whose personality was as beautiful as her looks until the Thanksgiving Jimmer introduced us to you. You came into our lives and accepted our crazy family from the beginning. You meant the world to all of us and we loved you like you were already a Varischetti.

            We were looking forward to this day just as much as you and Jimmer. Knowing that today you would walk down the aisle and officially join our family was something we were so excited for because you were perfect.

            I took the time we spent together for granted because I thought we were guaranteed so much more. Although I only had a few years with you, you left an example of what true love is. I hold my relationship standards to what you and Jimmer exemplified. 

            Thank you for being the perfect role model and giving me something to always work for.

            I miss you so much and know you’re always watching over us.
